Three stations requiring evacuation and six still requiring repair (9 out of 20 AEGIS Stations out of action). Are the thargoids going to advance towards the bubble?
Shout out to Cmdr Factabulous for his Thargoid FAQ Threat on the Forums – Stickied in the Alien’s Sub-Forum. (Also Mention Alex Turner for his global summaries and EndoFury for his new player’s guide on Reddit. )

AEGIS confirm that Capital Ships are vulnerable to thargoid attack due to the EMP effect. The new EMP counter does not scale to capital ship size. So it’s only us commanders in the smaller ships stand a chance in stopping the thargoids.
If you are wondering there the “How to Make A Galaxy” talk by Anthony Ross from frontier Expo is. According to ED on his lunchtime livestream , This will be redone and transmitted via live stream where it can also be more interactive and in better quality. No Eta, no guarantees etc. Ed Also mentions they are looking at doing more “TED” style streams in the future in the same vein.
Hutton Truckers break in me trade record broken… 79,624,800 in one sale. #ForTheMug Obsidian Orbital get’s completely trucked! – By delivering many Thargoids Probes and managing to disable the station, then they jumped to it and restored Obsidian Orbital to full working capabilities. Sadly not the trade record for the game, that is held by Cmdr Eldrich with 784 UA’S NETTING 210,188,048

Store relationship values on mission avatars so they don’t change into their cool pirate jackets anymore
Players can now spend favours (reputation levels) to control experimental effects on blueprints
When determining the rank of NPC ships for interdiction, use the player’s combat rank, rather than their highest PF rank, although add 1 rank if their trade or exploration rank is higher than their combat rank
alter the changes in allowed interdiction ranks based on security, so that the biggest rank disparities are reserved for very low security and anarchy systems
Reduced the percentage interdiction chance of power play ships by 10%, and altered the ship type chances and combat ranks to be more mid range, dropping a lot of the top range down
Adjust tracking rates for turreted weapons. Large+ are unchanged, medium are slightly faster, small are a lot faster
Improvements to turret tracking: When evaluating confusion the turret will now take into account the apparently linear acceleration of the target actually caused by angular acceleration of the firing vehicle. Overall this should make turrets confused less of the time, and emphasises the skill element a bit more – the better you match your target’s acceleration to keep them stationary in view, the better your turrets will track
All shields now regenerate at double rate when in supercruise
First UA found planetside…
Not actually the 1st found, but still… “This crash site was found as a result of a mission tip-off. According to a Cannon source, this is the first reported UA sighting planet-side. The mission’s goal was to scan the wreckage, and when scanned, a data packet with what looks like a log entry was uncovered. The contents spoke of the survivors of the crash dying slowly, while one crew member “didn’t have to watch” it. I assume this means a crew member died during the incident. A POI nearby had 12 escape pods, organized into six groups of two, with each group’s pods stacked perfectly on top of each other. May be a bug, took screenshots for tin-foil.”
Winning the Space Race: The Future of Elite Dangerous “they have to choose one, and stop treading water in the middle, or games like Star Citizen and No Man’s Sky will turn Elite into an amusement park in Chernobyl: desolate, sad, and abandoned.
ED Tracker
“EDTracker is proud to be sponsoring Lavecon this year; Lavecon and the Elite Dangerous community have been a pivotal part in EDTracker’s success so it seems all the more fitting that we can put something back in for the people who’ve helped get the project off the ground. Toggle that headlook and fly dangerous, commanders!” – http://edtracker.org.uk/

In game news
Poor Ishmael Palin (the prominent Barnicle expert) so far has been attacked by pirates, kidnapped and finally rescued. However his bad luck has continued as he’s now contracted the Cerberus Plague. You’d think someone has it in for him, he’s having so much bad luck. 😉
The campaign from the Canonn Interstellar Research Group to establish a new research outpost in the Col 285 Sector IX-T d3-43 system has been successful. A new outpost will be constructed ‘soon’ which will help with more research into the UA.
A rogue Farragut Battle Cruiser somewhere? There were reports last week of a Federal Battle Cruiser with Pirate markings in the LHS 3447.
Speaking of Farragut Battle Cruisers, the construction of the Latest Cruiser in the Beti Hydri system has the Empire worried. If more cruisers are constructed, sources close to Admiral Denton Patreus say that the empire might have to respond in kind.
In response to the New Battle Cruiser and rhetoric coming from the Empire; the Alliance has held a diplomatic summit at the Alliance Capital looking at possible responses.
Main Discussion – DDF Lazerus
Default In-game choices to be made by the DDF
“It’s been a long time, but we are finally able to move towards some of the things we discussed during the Kickstarter with respect to the DDF and the ability of members to decide together on significant actions within the game. There are some big events coming to the game later this year (in relation to an alien species – trying to minimise spoilers here!), and members will decide where these events first take place, and how the process moves on down the line. This will be by voting on the DDF forum with a choice of possible locations. As the events unfold, there will be further such choices going forwards.”
Community Corner
Allen’s Stroud AMA. – A lot of questions about a possible sequel to Lave Revolution.
Mobius AMA – Erm… started off ok but then became a slagging match between people of the opinion that solo or private groups ruin community goals, powerplay etc and those that don’t.
Elite Racers who have their subreddit if you want to get along
Really impressed with the Imperial couriers’ canyon run. (Beggers Canyon anyone). Someone will have to do on in the fastest ship (Isn’t that a viper?) and see what’s that like.
