  - Initial Message was put together from some binary hidden inside of the gamescom clips.
    “We’ve found something. Something incredible. Something the whole galaxy will want to see. The truth The truth. We could show it to you, that wouldn’t be much fun so instead we’re going to play a little game. To find us, look for a bounty hunter. To find more clues you’ll need pre-logistics support in a system with one star, two belts, three rings, and enough radiation to turn you green. The hunt begins on the 28th.”

- A new screenshot competition is being hosted by CMDR Infernal-Jawa of The Order of the Shadow, called The Grand System Hunt. The reason behind the competition is that apparently the religious leader of the order, ta Purdow, had a vision from God, whom the members and followers of The Order of the Shadow refer to as the void walker or the walker of the void, as he is sometimes referred to. The basic details of the vision has instructed ta Purdow to have CMDR Infernal-Jawa announce The Grand System Hunt and provide a bounty for three different systems, each system must contain an earthlike world, a water world, and a world with an icy ring. for future expansion and colonization, for the Order of the Shadow and two their allies, who the allies are has not been officially announced. for full details and rules, The Grand System Hunt can be found on the Frontier Forums.

    The logic of no defence being the stronger defence: Why myrmidon should NOT send in defenders if serious about friendly first contact.
    If a player wishes to harm alien they can do so at will in private group or solo.
    
    You cannot defend against it. You can only outrun it.
    Sending defenders into open play 1) wastes resources. 2) draws attention 3) encourages hostile activity to the area, some of which might resort to private or solo to bypass any defence.
    
    At no point does sending defenders to the area increase the security for the alien, it only puts them more at risk.
    
    Finding first. Finding quietly. That is how you protect alien life, first contact. To do otherwise is to contradict the stated aims of the group..

  - When determining the rank of NPC ships for interdiction, use the player’s combat rank, rather than their highest PF rank, although add 1 rank if their trade or exploration rank is higher than their combat rank
  - alter the changes in allowed interdiction ranks based on security, so that the biggest rank disparities are reserved for very low security and anarchy systems
  - Reduced the percentage interdiction chance of power play ships by 10%, and altered the ship type chances and combat ranks to be more mid range, dropping a lot of the top range down
  - Adjust tracking rates for turreted weapons. Large+ are unchanged, medium are slightly faster, small are a lot faster
  - Improvements to turret tracking: When evaluating confusion the turret will now take into account the apparently linear acceleration of the target actually caused by angular acceleration of the firing vehicle. Overall this should make turrets confused less of the time, and emphasises the skill element a bit more – the better you match your target’s acceleration to keep them stationary in view, the better your turrets will track

  This folks, is our known Galaxy. Every white dot is a system that has been found. The purple dot at the bottom is Sol, Sag A* in the middle. The yellow dot to the left is my current position, 15000Ly from Sol. That same dot on the seond picture, taken from the horizontal centre shows the height/depth of the ‘known’ systems. For example, if you did not get an experimental effect – calling in a favour gives you the one you want.

On the other hand, if you generated an experimental effect that you did not want – calling in a favour gives you the one you want.
