The (Non) Return of the Code – The Code have claimed they have never left (although they have been very quiet). Word of warning to all traders, you will get three challenges and if you do not comply then they will attack. If you don’t get your three challenges, then the attacker is not from the code. Normally these guys role play ok, but it’s better to lose a little cargo and have a bit of RP than the rebuy + cargo loss.

This week the Thargoid presence has encroached even deeper into the populated human bubble. One of the Evangeline’s Elite Expeditionary Force(EEEF) and its member’s prime mission is to guard and protect all of humanity. Countless lives have been lost and it seems there shall be no end to the bloodshed soon.The EEEF Commander in Chief, Evangeline has issued a call to all independent CMDR’s,”The Thargoids have swept through our systems and our defenses like a hot knife through butter. Nothing has stopped them. Until such time as the Galactic community can band together to find an effective solution, we must persevere. At this rate, in a mere matter of weeks the Thargoids could be to Sol, or anywhere. No Galactic power is safe, no human is safe. We are running out of time to fight back. Sacrifices need be made for the greater good. As of this week the latest system to be attacked, Bhal, lies only 77.04 ly .from where I stand. This evening, I covertly sent out word to the stations in outpost in our home system of Shana Bei to prepare for evacuation. The EEEF and my Angels intend to buy time for systems in the path of the Thargoids advancement time to evacuate to safety, or to mount a defense. This move will hopefully allow more time for the Galactic powers to come up with a strategy to turn back the Thargoid Threat. The EEEF’s primary mission will be to shield humanity and hold the aliens for as long as possible.I ask not that anyone place their lives on the line for us or my members, all that I request for Operation: Chronos is the delivery of Meta Alloys and other Thargoid attracting materials to be dropped outside of Chu City in Shana Bei. I hope this will entice the Thargoids to make a move towards us where we shall attempt to ambush them and delay them as long as possible.

Disappointment For PS4 PSVR owners – Turns out Sony said ED was a PSVR title. Frontier says this is in error and have contacted Sony to take it off their site.
Real world feedback from a friend in the US – comparing the Lenovo Mixed reality set to the Samsung (Lenovo apparently already better than the rift)
“So after going back to the Lenovo, here is the easiest explanation I can give you. If you were to get 2 40 inch televisions, one being of 720P and the other a 1080P, and you watched the 720P TV so close up that only what was right in front of your eyes was clear, but slightly pixelated and the edges blurry unless you turned to look at them, but then you sat far enough away from the 1080p to see the entire thing clearly, but the pixels are hardly noticeable and everything looks really good and clear, that’s honestly what it feels like to me. When I got my first 1080p tv and go back to watching our old spare bedroom 720p tv, from a distance it looks alright, but it’s definitely visibly different. It makes it hard for me to go back to. That’s how I feel with the Samsung. Now just for the HMD’s that will take us to the “4k from 1080p” stage :grinning:”

You do not need to unlock Ram Tah
The CG text suggests this mission may go away: Ram Tah, the galaxy’s foremost expert on the Guardians, has revealed that his research funding will soon end. In an effort to make the most of his remaining finances, the engineer has appealed to independent pilots to deliver Guardian artefacts to his base in the Meene system.
You need a good jump range, 12t cargo space, fuel scoop, exploration scanners, SRV (multiple recommended).
When you dock at Meene (Felice Dock) you will receive the mission in your inbox, and it will automatically be added to your transactions panel.
It pays 1 million credits per scan with a 10 million credit bonus if you collect all 101 scans, total payout on completion is 111 million credits.
Counts towards exploration rank!
Many of the systems with Guardian ruins in are worth a lot of exploration data (lots of metal rich and at least one Black Hole).
You need 2 of each Guardian artifacts to be able to apply any of the combinations
2 x casket
2 x orb
2 x relic
2 x totem
2 x tablet
2 x urn
It is imperative that you keep an accurate log of which data packages you have received, they come in 5 categories:
Biology (19)
Culture (20)
History (21)
Language (21)
Technology (20)
You can read all the data packets on the Canonn Research website.
Community resources were key to success, there are many many more but these are the ones I used (edshipyard being the most useful one):
Explanation of edshipyard process, select the data scans you are missing (select none if you are just starting), click optimize and it will work out the minimum number of systems you need to visit, click export to get a list of systems, planets, sites. Click individual sites to get a map plotting where each data is, and what combination of artifacts is needed to scan it.
When scanning grab the two relevant artifacts needed to perform the scan and then locate the relevant obelisk, you should be able to target it when within a few meters and scan it with the srv data scanner.
Once you have handed in, relogged and redocked at the station you are offered the mission again, you are able to repeat it.
