Questions

  1. Question of the week
The crew would love to know what’s the most creative way you’ve been able to kill a player or NPC in Elite Dangerous?
    1. Alec Turner – I performed an assassination  mission by lobbing a Thargoid Sensor at the guy (https://youtu.be/gx4M-vG74Mk?t=262), who was killed by  its caustic effect, and I managed to kill myself by hurling my SRV into the air with my ship and then trying to catch it again How to catch an SRV (plus outtakes)
    2. Happy Moon Monkey – My first player kill ever was in the Odyssey alpha with the electro-charge gun. I think we even acknowledged each other before hand by crouching. Then they turned to a terminal, turning their back and I thought… why not? 😈 Oops!
    3. Cmdr Homborger tell’s us – @237Eralm  has managed to kill guards by settlement doors so the door stays open. Then they send a dumbfire in through the door to kill a technician. Have tried. Never managed…Yet.
    4. And Eralm retorts – How about running over NPC’s indoors with the Scarab? (Still don’t know how I got it through the door), and FYI… Scarab couldn’t make it back *out* the door.
    5. Some bloke called Derin in claiming this – https://clips.twitch.tv/RelievedLivelyPigeonSMOrc-VUYBPpqV7rLo4Yo4
    6. Spatula007 – Ive explored almost every way you can rebuy and i still think my favourite deaths were:
      1. getting yeeted by the Coriolis stations with hammers
      2. dropping biowaste by my carrier, an npc stealing it, me trying to get it back with a hatch breaker and my own carrier murdering me
    7. ACowForAllSeasons – Found a player AFK above farseer. Shot out their drives and gave them a push. Down they went. Technically the ground killed them, not me
    8. Mad King Hastur – I was hanging out at an abandoned settlement in the Pleiades once collecting logs and shooting bugs. On this particular day there just so happened to be a commander there doing the same so I tried letting him jump his SRV onto my Corvette. Well, a Goid waked in at that Exact moment and time and the Thargoid wake caused my ship to slam into the ground at Mach Jesus speeds and crush said commander. Turns out he was a Hutton Orbital Trucker and was the target of a hide and seek manhunt event they were holding at the time. They sent me this lol.
    9. Cmdr Guru 951 – It was an accident, but, I once killed a player by being parked at the same exact spot at a Guardian ruin as another player who exploded upon log in.
    10. Saphaia – Only checks the creative part since unintentional & (thankfully) no deaths but: 3/4 into a year long expedition. Ships huddled together at a meet up. We fooled around in SLFs. I forgot to tell my Cutter to stay in place. It followed me, bumping into the other more fragile ships.
    11. Jarenstad – I think it would be that time when a bunch of scavengers occupying a settlement rushed in under my Cutter on the landing pad, shooting at it. And I promptly lifted off, retracted the landing gear and came crashing down on them.
    12. Valaryc – Did someone say “RAMMING SPEEEEEEED!”? 🤣 Definitely not “most creative”, but still hilariously fun to do. Even more fun when there are loads of other ships around and you need to sorta dodge them to hit the intended target at proper full boost speed. 🤘🏼🔥
    13. WebGear – I tricked an ARXX squadron ganker into shooting at me next to a Fleet Carrier. Flawless Victory! Elite: Dangerous – Moment That ARXX Ganker Cmdr RealExivus Knew…
    14. Nopil3os – gotta be the classic hit-them-when-they’re-about-to-throw-a-grenade-so-they-drop-it-in-front-of-their-own-feet
    15. W1ddersh1n5 – My bud used to accidentally fly into his own ship and explode when piloting an SLF. It happened nearly every sesh. I just used to watch, but by allowing it to continue I guess I’m a bit culpable.
