Development News – what have the devs said this week?

1. 18th Jan – The Register interview with Ian Bell and Mark Moxon (who’s annotated the OG Elite Code)

   I’m sad to be going, but take great comfort from knowing that my last efforts on @EliteDangerous are helping to create one of the coolest things we have ever done in the game.  You will have to wait until update 18 is released to see what it is though.
4. 22nd Jan – Ben Hennesey leaving Frontier.
5. 23rd Jan – Frontier welcome a new batch of content creators to the Elite Partner Program.

   1. Around 6 months ago i noticed my eyesight had declined rapidly over a short time. I visited my optician and was told that I have cataracts in both eyes and that they will get progressively worse, this will severely limit what i’m able to do and will affect my ability to work as the ability to drive is essential for my job. I’m an Education Manager for a small national LGBTQ+ charity.
      
      The current waiting list on the NHS could be 2 years or more. At the rate my eyesight is deteriorating i will have to stop work and driving well before then.
      
      Please help me raise £4500 which should cover the cost of cataract removal for both my eyes and help me continue to be able to support myself and others through my work. Thank you.

   1. A chameleon circuit, to release pheromones and illusions to fool all goids into thinking our ships are just other goids.

   1. I’d combine the left over, used up kittens from Kitten Brand Coffee, with some Centauri Mega Gin. These would get fired at Thargoid mother ships which would get torn to shreds by discarded,  bitter, overly caffeinated, angry (from the trip to Hutton and excessive alcohol) kittens

   1. Unfortunately neither of the commodities required to end the war exist in the game: Tea and biscuits.

   1. An alternative Guardian mode for biological sampler (effectively switching it from suck to blow) which can then infect critical points aboard a Titan. I guess then we’d also need a green mode for the arc cutter to get through those pesky Titan doors.
