We’d like to revisit our approach to player memorials in-game.
In the past, we’ve accepted requests to add locations or change location names to give players a place to remember and celebrate their loved ones. Unfortunately, this gesture could not be scaled to meet the large number of requests we received as time went on.
We’re now ready with a solution that offers an equal and respectful way to honour all Commanders’ requests to memorialise friends and family that have passed. Our plan is to create memorial beacons in the following systems, each of which will feature an epitaph and a list of names:
Sol
Achenar
Alioth
Shinrarta Dezhra
Colonia
Asellus Primus
Dromi
The names will be updated periodically every few months at all locations. This will allow any visitor to see the full list at any beacon at any given time. The locations are expected to be added by the end of this month.

Reward: The module is a fully engineered lightweight and high capacity Class 2 Seeker Missile Rack with thermal cascade. It was offered in October 3306 to pilots who helped defend the Eurybia system from Imperial forces.
The reward for this week’s goal works differently to how you may expect. Rather than unlocking the item in outfitting, you directly purchase the module with the resources. You can get two by obtaining double the resources.
We’ve seen some confusion in regards to the resources needed for the module. You use the resources listed (Proto radiolic alloy, conductive ceramics, hybrid capacitors, phosphorus and osmium) for the purchase rather than the mined materials (bromellite, lithium hydroxide, and samarium). Apologies for any confusion caused.
Currently Star Citizen is running the “Xeno Event” those of us who have played SC can describe the event and then compare it to events that FD have run
Has different phases… currently (8th Feb) in phase 2 – rearming
This directs you to a mission
Mission asks you to go to a location in the system where you are assigned tasks
Tasks so far include:
Defending the capital ship from attack
Collecting Resources
Search through debris field looking for wrecks
Search through the wreck (on foot) looking for Canisters to load on to your ship
3 types… one basic, one which is time sensitive, one which is quantum drive sensitive. (i.e. take too long or go faster than light the resource goes boom!)
Potential for combat whilst exploring the wrecks
Fighting off smaller fighters whilst looking for the resources
Cmdr IvIePhisto (Pronounced Mephisto) is arranging a Fleet Carrier Assisted version of the Cannon Challenge:
Come along on the Comfy Canonn Cruise, following in CMDR Marxanthius steps on the Canonn Challenge to visit every life form and notable stellar phenomena discovered by Canonn Research. To participate, hop on board the fleet carrier Khonsu XLF-5XY in Varati until 15:00 UTC on March the 14th. The journey is planned to take 4 to 5 months for the 448 thousand lightyears journey through 1006 systems. For more info see @5xyXlf on Twitter or contact via email at XLF-5XY@gmx.info.

No CG But a little lore quest – An Imperial Black OPs Prison planet. Which was Found in 3 hours! However the implications are big for any upcoming summit!
We want to send some massive love to Baz Floyd from Special Effect, who had a stroke late last year. Sadly despite being in isolation he also somehow caught covid. We’re glad to say that even though he’s still in hospital and he still has a long road ahead of him, he is on the mend, he’s already beaten the COVID and he’s regaining faculties. Further we’d also like to send our love to his partner Ali Hilborne.
Paige’s “Through Our Eyes” stream which had loads of ‘marginalised’ streamers. From people in the LGBTQIA+ Community, to people with Mental and Physical Health Issues, to BIPOC streamers. Some of their stories were heartbreaking, some were inspirational. There was so much love in the stream it was great. On of the people I found most interesting was a streamer with Dissociation with Parts who’s called “Hobohaus” – HoboHaus – Twitch It was so interesting watching watching and listening to them talking about their system and how they’re learning to live with themselves. If you want to watch it the VODs are on Arthremis’ YouTube

AXI Now marks the time in which the Eye of the Odyssey begins. This is your chance to earn yourself a copy of the Deluxe Edition of Elite Dangerous Odyssey (Steam) for winning 1st place and a standard copy (Steam) to 2nd.

The time trial challenge is this;-
1) Start on the Stellaris Invicta [NEWP] in Musca Dark Region JX-T C3-13
2) Go to a Threat 5 and collect a Cyclops Tissue Sample.
3) Collect the same Cyclops heart.
4) Pick up a single Meta-Alloy from a Barnacle Site/Forest or surface site.
5) Finish at the Eclipse [AXI] in Musca Dark Region GW-W D1-143
Operation IDA – is still repairing stations in the witch head nebula. They’ve only got Sherrill Orbital in Haki to go.

TDW are back from Holiday break and are pushing now. Will go pending expansion this week to go into Sol Test site. After that they are prepped to start the expansion to LFT509 test site. So this month is going to see them test the remaining 2 sites!
We have to congratulate Cmdr Muskateer for reaching 200,000 kills in CQC (200,003 at the last count).
Congratulations must also goto Cmdr Overlight who took 5 seconds off the Hutton Orbital run speed record, which had previously been held by Cmdr Bret Riverboat for over a year.

Sirius Corporation Campaign to Establish Marlinist Colonies – New CG.
The Loose Screws community are heading out into the black once again to reach Evelyn’s Light! We will discover what the young scientist has left for us to discover in the deep reaches of space!
(In the August of 2018 Evelyn was a girl hiking up a mountain with her family and complaining of a sore side when she got home. In September of 2018 she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma with a tumour the size of a grapefruit in her abdomen. Thus began Evelyn’s and her family’s fight against cancer that would last for 1 ½ years. She threw off cancer’s grip on Feb 26, 2020 and ascended to the stars.
Hospital treatments to address the disease, radiation, chemo, stem cell transplants and surgery could not weigh down her spirit. She continued to read, play video games and show interest in science, design, fashion, comedy, wookies and the stars. While she slept beside her mother her father spent the long nights in Elite with a new group of comrades, some of whom knew his pain, some of whom shared their own, all of whom shared the game. Our thanks go out to Loose Screws and Frontier, and Drew Wagar for showing their support!)
Depart: Jan 8 3307 from Ross 310
Arrive Evelyn’s Light in the Qama System: Feb 26, 3307
CMDR Yanick is arranging the Apollo 15 50th Anniversary Expedition from the 10th to the 30th of July 3307.
This expedition is the successor to the popular Apollo 11 Anniversary Expedition (A11X), where 670 CMDR’s celebrated the Apollo 11 Moon Landings 50 years to the moment after the Eagle touching down in the Sea of Tranquility. A11X remains the most successful player-base organised event in the history of Elite:Dangerous after the epic Distant Worlds, and Distant Worlds 2 expeditions.
So if you’re looking for an Apollo Themed Expedition in July, add this one to your Diaries…
Start: T Tauri (Hind Mine / Hind Nebula (T Tauri))
Very good article explaining parts of Cyberpunk that MAY trigger seizures and one part which has almost been designed to…
When “suiting up” for a Brain Dance, especially with Judy, V will be given a headset that is meant to onset the instance. The headset fits over both eyes and features a rapid onslaught of white and red blinking LEDs, much like the actual device neurologists use in real life to trigger a seizure when they need to trigger one for diagnosis purposes. If not modeled off of the IRL design, it’s a very spot-on coincidence
