Lave Radio Special 50th Episode

New 50th EpisodeGreetings Commanders,

It’s been over two years since we first started broadcasting Lave Radio from 2nd tech’s stolen ASBO Sidewinder. In that time we have clocked up over 100 hours of content. 76+ hours of the main Lave Radio show, over 12 hours of interviews and nearly 100 5* reviews on iTunes.

We’ve done Retro Laves, Conclaves, Emergency Broadcasts, Outside Broadcasts, Adverts and incidents! Poor 2nd Tech has been crushed, smashed, shot, squished, eaten, torched, poisoned, sucked into a blackhole, and out of an airlock… all without getting the promotion he so definitely does not deserve!

We have run two successful community Lavecon events…

LaveCon…the ever so talented Mr Jarvis has created the critically acclaimed audio serial, Escape Velocity.

1399555_621623647880793_1119727285_oWith the recent expansion to the Lave Radio crew, the Sidewinder studio couldn’t be more cramped. However, we have put our virtual comfort aside in order to take the broadcast to its now regular weekly slot as listeners have been requesting.

Elite: Dangerous is now out there and our ever growing community is finding new and different ways to interact with the universe Frontier have created. Through the podcasts and the upcoming Lavecon 2015 event in Northampton we plan to continue shining the spotlight on this amazing group of adventurers well into the year 3301 and beyond.

Lavecon2015LargeFor our 50th Episode we would like to take some time to look back on the past two years and remember some standout moments. If you have a favourite memory of the show, Lavecon, Elite Meet or a funny story that occurred through being part of the community then we would like to hear it and share it on the 50th Episode. Either post it here in the comments for us to read out, or better still record a brief soundbite or video and send the download link to info@laveradio.com.

  1. Fozza’s crossover fiction with Darth maul.

  2. +1 Robin 😀

  3. The initial discussion on crime and punishment which led to the ASBO Orange sidewinder concept has me chuckling every time I hear it, was a sign of things to come for me 🙂

  4. Zplintz (aka Kirk Jewell)

When Fozza enthusiastically announced Chris Jarvis’ wife had given birth to a baby bird.

It is hard to think of an individual point made over such a long time and be accurate (without going back through all the episodes – which there obviously isn’t time to do before the 50th episode nor now you are broadcasting so often).

Overall (for me) it has been the constant stream of different viewpoints, the humour, the grumpiness and that you provided throughout the whole process so far (even if that constant was a little chaotic at times).

Not once have I forgotten that you all gave up so much of your time to entertain me – for free.

I hope you are all (including the newer members), very proud of what you have accomplished.

Your shows have made me late for work, made my face ache and caused me to get concerned looks from other motorists.

    Thank you.

    (Proof reading fail *facepalm)
