2. Some happy Elite Dangerous Space is Big / Planet Gen News…
   1. Ozric had a planet that he really wanted to get 1st footfall on, so he made sure that he headed straight out there when Odyssey launched but could not disembark from the ship/srv because the minimum temperature was 860K and the suits can only handle 800K.
      
      Well the other day he was explaining to someone a few things about first discoveries and used the system as an example.  He clicked on the planet and it said the temperature range was around 600 – 900K…  and suspected that someone must have changed it, unless it was something to do with orbits and temperature fluctuations, but I didn’t see how that was possible to that extreme when it’s in a close orbit around a Class B star…
      
      Today  (19th July) he looked at the system again. The temperature now was from 704 – 1,375K I noticed that the orbit is not quite centred on the star which means that actually I must have reached it at a point where it was close to the star, and now it’s at the furthest point it’s a lot cooler.(edited)

   1. When docked at a Horizon’s base, look to your ‘crotch panel, select the SRV and out you go… Please note that finding your landing pad can be awkward but is possible, and again just select the crotch panel and “board” when you’re in a garage…
