  1. Allen, if someone was interested in getting in to writing how would you recommend them getting started.

    Enjoying these new shows thanks.

  2. Chris,

Depends. Courses are a good start, writing groups are a good start. Really you need that confidence and nurturing group around you. Reading a lot helps too as it makes you see the good and bad in your own work.

Having something to aim for, like a competition or something else can help. It is about that creative mindset, feeling confident in your ideas, or at least confident enough to try and try again.

Consider getting involved with Grant’s Abrakka Drabble? Its Friday nights at 7pm.

  3. I do dabble but… I find its hard to flesh out things and i get discouraged… Like my artistic abilities i think they are very rusty and feel cumbersome.

  4. We all have those feelings. Its important to not to let yourself get discouraged. If you do, it all stops. That’s why writing groups are a good start.
