Blah blah blah…so someone found a way of making a quick buck. Welcome to Earth, a planet full of people “gaming the system”. Those who found a way to increase their rankings overnight didn’t “hack” the game, they just found something that worked and utilised it. Get over it!
I’d also like make a point about solo play. Almost every episode now has someone getting tetchy about players who don’t run in open play. Well, I only manage a couple hours play a week, so being taken out with a hull full of cargo could well take me weeks to get that money back, and all because a group of players want to “have their fun”. That fine, but I also want to have my fun. I paid for E:D so if I wish to go solo then that’s my prerogative.
People aren’t happy about how somebody won a competition and are voicing their opinion. It’s their prerogative.
Open play is the best way of playing and offers a much better gaming experience. Get over it!

Really? I don’t see a great deal of difference between solo and open.
